I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Economics at Penn State. I will join Peking University, INSE, as an Assistant Professor in fall, 2024.

In my Job Market Paper, I study the effect of a policy that incentivizes U.S. charter schools to improve academic performance with expansion eligibility. I develop and estimate a dynamic model that highlights both the (costly) adjustment of schools' capacity and their  "effort'' to improve quality, as well as their dynamic response to competitive pressure.
